From the Beginning - FAQ

Where do you provide services?

We support NDIS participants across Western Melbourne, including areas like Footscray, Sunshine, Melton, Werribee, and surrounding suburbs.

We offer flexible support options, including face-to-face meetings in your home, a community setting, or another convenient location. Additionally, we provide remote support via phone or video call, ensuring accessibility no matter your circumstances.

Am I eligible for support coordination or psychosocial recovery coaching under my NDIS plan?

Your eligibility for Support Coordination or Psychosocial Recovery Coaching depends on the funding allocated in your NDIS plan. These supports are included under the Capacity Building Supports category and are designed to help you navigate the NDIS, access services, and work toward greater independence.

Support Coordination Eligibility

You may be eligible for Support Coordination if:

  • Your NDIS plan includes funding for Support Coordination under Capacity Building – Support Coordination.

  • You require assistance in understanding, implementing, and managing your NDIS plan.

  • You need help connecting with service providers and making informed choices about your care and supports.

  • You have complex support needs that require coordination between multiple services.

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching Eligibility

You may be eligible for Psychosocial Recovery Coaching if:

  • Your NDIS plan includes funding under Capacity Building – Psychosocial Recovery Coaching.

  • You have a primary psychosocial disability (such as a mental health condition that significantly affects your daily life).

  • You need a specialist mental health coach who understands recovery-oriented approaches and can support you in building resilience, developing skills, and accessing the right services.

  • You would benefit from long-term coaching and support in managing mental health challenges.

How is a recovery coach different from a support coordinator?

While both roles assist with NDIS plan implementation, a recovery coach has additional expertise in mental health and psychosocial disability. Recovery coaches offer a more in-depth, therapeutic, and strengths-based approach to building resilience and self-management skills.
